Volunteers needed for IMAV09

IMAV09

The Emerald Coast Chapter of AUVSI is a major sponsor and organizer for the 4th US - Europe workshop and flight competition for Micro Air Vehicles (IMAV09), to be held in the Pensacola / Fort Walton Beach area June 1-5 2009. The ECC chapter of AUVSI will need many volunteers to assist with this event - more details to come shortly, and check the links section for more information. If you would like to volunteer your time to assist with the event, contact Brad Austerman.

New officers and board members

At the general membership meeting on August 28th, 2008 the following new officers and board members were elected: President – Mr. Brad Austerman Vice President – Dr. Mikel Sawyer Secretary – Mr. Eric Becker Treasurer – Mr. David Algeo BOD Member – Mr. Ken Blackburn Continuing BoD Members – Mr. Anil Raj and Mr. Steve Baxley

Chapter Objectives

I've had several new members ask me about the objectives and goals of AUVSI - ECC Chapter. I'm posting here for everyone to see.

Article II of the Constitution for the Emerald Coast Chapter states that we are formed to:

a - Provide an organization for individuals who have a common interest in Unmanned Vehicle Systems and who wish to foster and expand the domain of Unmanned Vehicle Systems

b - Advance the technology

c - Exchange ideas and information in the field of Unmanned Vehicle Systems and to recognize the advances and contribution thereto

d - Promote the education of the membership and the general public in the field of Unmanned Vehicle Systems

e - Document the history of Unmanned Vehicle Systems
